Anthropic has officially launched Claude 5, marking a major leap in AI capabilities. The new model introduces an enhanced reasoning engine that can break down complex problems into structured sub-tasks, achieving state-of-the-art results on benchmarks including SWE-bench, GPQA Diamond, and MATH-500.
Key improvements include a 1 million token context window (up from 200K), enabling the model to process entire codebases, lengthy research papers, and complex document sets in a single prompt. The model also features improved instruction following and reduced hallucination rates, according to Anthropic’s internal evaluations.
Pricing remains competitive at $15 per million input tokens and $75 per million output tokens for the flagship Claude 5 Opus variant, with a lighter Claude 5 Sonnet available at reduced rates.
